Cosmos Phase II
Operation Migration pilots used this Cosmos Phase II to guide Canada geese, trumpeter swans, and whooping cranes along migration routes. The aircraft also appeared in Fly Away Home. The trike's low-speed performance allowed a pilot to lead birds at about their cruising speed. Training, route planning, weather, noise, visibility, and animal behavior all became part of the flight system.

Aircraft-guided reintroduction helped teach migration routes, but the method ended in 2016 after concerns that it was too artificial to sustain. The artifact connects conservation goals, animal learning, evidence, ethics, and public storytelling.
Aviation close to everyday life
Most flying does not take place in a large scheduled airliner.
